Summer Guide 2026: From concerts to speakeasies, 52 Sumner brings range of entertainment to Forest Park
SPRINGFIELD — Looking ahead to a third season of summer programming, Angela Park, co-founder of 52 Sumner, had one thing to say: “it’s crazy.”
“We went from having almost nothing and then it was just piling on, we are scheduled all the way out now until December,” she continued of the Forest Park venue, which she co-founded with Dan McKellick in 2024 in the home of the former Faith United Church.
The venue opened that spring with a performance by Grammy-winning blues singer Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. It was a sell-out concert, and Park said ever since then, Ingram has been in talks to return to 52 Sumner.
