Springfield Community Theater of MA is an exciting new non-profit community theater that is a part of, and performs at, 52 Sumner in Springfield, MA.  We create great theater, showcase local talent, and develop local stories to bring together communities in the city that we love.  Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience!

The Mission of Springfield Community Theater of MA is to build a stronger, more caring, and creative community through high-quality, low-cost live theater experiences accessible to everyone. We do this by showcasing local talent and celebrating local stories. And, by choosing shows that touch the heart and mind, that inspire us to laugh, cry, cheer, and make life better for those around us.

Past performances by Springfield Community Theater of MA have been outstanding and include:

Annie – The Musical” (pictured top left)– This heartwarming story, filled with memorable songs provided a fun theater experience for the whole family.

A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters” (pictured top right)– a funny and emotional portrait about the powerful connection of love. The familiar faces that brought the story to included Springfield’s Mayor Domenic Sarno; former TV news anchors Brenda Garton-Sjoberg and Kathy Tobin; and Steve Hays, Founding Director of The Drama Studio.

“To The Moon” (pictured bottom) – a benefit for Alianza DV Services. Awareness for this important topic was captured by community leaders including Helen Caulton-Harris, Commissioner of the Division, Spfld Health & Human Services; Julia O’Keefe, Morning Anchor, 22News; Libby Hernandez, Vice-Chair, Holyoke Board of Public Works; Aria Acevedo Aria “Lune”  Acevedo, detribalized Indigenous Latine actor, designer, writer, & educator, MassHire Department of Career Services, Statewide MSFW Outreach Specialist; Brenda Garton-Sjoberb, Director of the Institute for Media & Nonprofit Communications, Western New England University; Cassie Sarno, Director of Community Relations, Hampden County Sheriff’s Office; Mary Akers, Executive Director, Work Opportunity Center; Jill Monson-Bishop, Owner of POP!more; and Sheila Rivest, Exec. Director of the Carol Rivest Foundation.
